Description
1987 Ford RS200 – Group B Homologation Legend
This vehicle is only visible in the Eau de Pétrole Showroom.
Few cars embody the raw excitement and innovation of the Group B rally era like the Ford RS200. Conceived as Ford’s ultimate rally weapon, the RS200 was engineered from the ground up as a purpose-built, mid-engined, four-wheel-drive machine — a far cry from any road-going Ford before or since.
With its lightweight composite body designed by Ghia, space-frame chassis by Tony Southgate, and turbocharged Cosworth power, the RS200 was created to dominate rally stages around the world. Tragically, Group B’s short lifespan meant the car never reached its full potential in competition — but on the road, it became an instant collector’s dream.
This 1987 Ford RS200 is one of just 200 homologation examples built for the road, making it one of the rarest and most exhilarating Ford models ever produced.
