Description
For sale early model Land Rover 80" Series 1 "Light behind grille" model. build in 1950; RHD model. Finished in Deep Bronze green. This is the first model as introduced in April 1948 on the Amsterdaim Auto Rai.
The vehicle is in good running condition. The car drives really nice and everything works well. It must have had a rebuilt somewhere during the 80's and in recent years it also had some work done to it; like brakes overhauled; new fuel tank and fuel pump; new exhaust etc. Technical in good working order. Engine runs very sweet and pulls well; gearbox very quiet. Solid chassis with minimal welding done in the past. Good bodywork. Bulkhead needs some work in the usual 80" locations (top rail, door pillars ; under steering box) Wiring is a bit messy and needs tyding but everything works. Could be used as is with some TLC; or nice project. Dutch registration and currently registered on the road. One off the last Full Grille models. Deep Bronze green with full tilt. Original gearbox and axles; original 1,6ltr engine is replaced with a 2,0ltr siamese bore during it's live. Otherwise original specifications.
