Description
We’re proud to offer this iconic 1969 Mercedes-Benz 600 "Grosser": one of the most legendary and imposing luxury sedans ever built.
Finished in its stunning original color combination of black over tan leather, this example has undergone extensive restoration and remains in excellent condition throughout. Every hydraulic feature — windows, seats, trunk, and sunroof — operates perfectly, a rare claim with any 600. Mechanically, the car runs and drives superbly, gliding down the road with the grace and authority only a Grosser can deliver.
The enormous sunroof makes this limousine surprisingly enjoyable on summer drives with the whole family, while its comfort and refinement rival — if not exceed — those of many modern luxury cars.
Built from 1963 to 1981, the Mercedes-Benz 600 was a technological tour de force of its era, favored by royalty, heads of state, celebrities, and captains of industry. Just over 2,600 units were produced in total, making it as rare as it is revered. From its sophisticated hydraulic system to its silky 6.3-liter V8, the 600 was a statement of power and elegance — and remains so today.
This is not only a very good-looking 600, but more importantly, a completely functional and well-driving example of Mercedes-Benz’s finest. A true collector’s limousine.
